Opinel Trekking Series - Stainless Steel Folding Pocket Knife with Leather Strap

The No7 knife is the perfect size for those who feel that the No6 could be a little larger - not too small, not too big. This "in-between" size classifies the No7 knife as just right. Made in France since 1890, our company has been manufacturing knives in the heart of the French Alps. Our plant in Chambray (Savoie, France) covers a surface area of almost 60,000 square feet and employs 110 people, with 60 working directly in production. All our products, including traditional pocket knives with carbon steel and stainless steel blades, specialist pocket knives, sharp slim pocket knives, garden tools, and elegant table knives, are entirely manufactured in our factory in Chambray. The molds and cutting tools have been developed by Opinel and wooden handles are made in Chambray, with the components then assembled and sharpened in our plant in Portugal.

To promote sustainability, Opinel knives are traditionally sold without any retail packaging, reducing waste. They are minimally packaged in clear plastic zip bags fitted to the size of the knife. The No7 knife features the Virobloc safety rings, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955 and fitted to all folding knife sizes No6 through No12. The Virobloc, cut out of stainless steel, has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. This safety ring not only locks the blade open for safety during use, but also locks the blade closed for safety on the go.

The stainless steel blade of the No7 knife is highly resistant and easy to clean with warm water, dishwashing liquid, and a sponge. Our knives are designed to last a lifetime, with the strength and resistance to endure woodwork, steelwork, and new materials like top-of-the-range synthetic polymers. Often passed down from father to son, Opinel knives are built to withstand the test of time.
