Caring for Your Knife

Opinel wooden-handle knives are not dishwasher safe. To prevent the wood from swelling, resulting in difficulty opening the knife, it is recommended to hand wash and immediately dry the blade with a soft towel. Additionally, lubricating the blade with cooking oil before closing the knife is recommended to prevent oxidation.
